After watching Private Lives, I zipped off to the Soo Visual Arts Center for the annual +/- show/sale. Since I arrived after 10 p.m., I kind of missed the show/sale part, but I tried to quick snap pics of the people and merch that was still being packed up.
First I met Tia Salmela Keobounpheng of Silver Cocoon. She's a designer who makes jewelry on the side. She crafts necklaces like this one, made from walnut. You can rearrange the pieces to make different patterns. The price varies, depending on if you get black wire ($55) or silver ($65).
She also crafts pieces out of acrylic (yes, she designs, lasercuts, and makes the pendants herself). The prices are the same as the wood necklaces. Also, check out her bangles ($25) and rings ($12).

Are the pieces always on sale at Soo or was this just for the show? I love the laser cut piece.

They're not always available at Soo, but click on the link to the Silver Cocoon website for more details and you can email Tia.
